BAGHDAD, Iraq — Justice Minister Khalid Shawani has instructed the Official Gazette department to establish a digital platform for the publication of official legislation, laws, and government announcements.
According to a ministry statement, the directive was issued during a meeting aimed at monitoring the work plans of justice departments and improving institutional performance. Minister Shawani stated that the platform is intended to facilitate access to legal texts and strengthen the department's digital transformation.
The project includes the archiving of previous Official Gazette issues to preserve their legal and documentary value. The minister requested that the necessary technical equipment be provided to ensure the project meets modern standards.
Shawani further emphasized that official publications must be available in both Arabic and Kurdish. He noted that this requirement aligns with constitutional provisions and is intended to ensure that the department's services are accessible to all segments of the population.
