Iraq's Supreme Judicial Council denies Interpol red notice for ex-interior minister Shammari

In a statement released by its media center, the council said the document circulating on social media does not reflect reality and was produced in violation of the law. It added that no official request for Shammari's extradition through Interpol has been received. The council said those responsible for producing the forged documents will face legal action and that all necessary judicial measures will be taken. It urged the public not to rely on unverified documents and confirmed that the circulating file is entirely fabricated. Shammari served as Iraq's interior minister before being removed from the post.
