BAGHDAD, Iraq โ Iraq's Hajj and Umrah Authority announced on Monday that electronic applications for the Hajj lottery will be open from July 13 to July 22. Spokesperson Hassan Kenani urged citizens to complete their registrations within the designated window.
Kenani said the authority will begin accepting family reunification requests after the application period closes. Under the process, individual registrations can be converted into paired applications provided both sides have applied within the official timeframe.
The spokesperson asked those seeking to submit paired applications to initially register individually through the existing electronic form. Family reunification will be completed electronically after the Wednesday deadline, removing the need for applicants to visit authority offices in Baghdad or other cities.
No further details were immediately available on the total number of expected applicants or this year's Hajj quota.
