BAGHDAD, Iraq โ Iraq's Electricity Minister Ali Saadi has removed Meslem Hadi Bereysi from his post as head of the Diwaniya distribution branch of the Middle Euphrates General Electricity Distribution Company, according to an official ministry document. Bereysi, who had been serving as a senior chief engineer at the company, will also lose the 25% responsibility allowance added to his salary, the order said.
Selam Arif Kerim, also a senior chief engineer at the same company, has been appointed to replace him. The ministry said Kerim was transferred from his role as head of the subscribers' affairs department to lead the Diwaniya distribution branch and will receive the same 25% responsibility allowance.
The ministry's order stated that the changes take effect from the date the new assignments begin. No further details were given on the reasons for the personnel move.
