Iraq's Dairy, Egg, Honey Imports Fall to Five-Year Low

BAGHDAD, Iraq — Iraq's imports of dairy products, bird eggs and natural honey declined to their lowest level in five years in 2025, according to International Trade Centre Trade Map data. The value of these imports reached approximately $530.3 million, down roughly $494.2 million or nearly 48 percent from the $1.02 billion recorded in 2024, the data showed. Iraq's imports of these products peaked in 2023 at $1.33 billion before dropping to $1.02 billion in 2024 and $530.3 million in 2025. Despite the decline, Iraq remained among countries that import these goods. Global imports in the same product categories were led by Germany at $13.97 billion, followed by China at $8.05 billion and France at $7.98 billion.
