Iraq Reports 219 Cases of Hemorrhagic Fever Since Start of Year

BAGHDAD, Iraq — The Iraqi Ministry of Health announced that 219 cases of hemorrhagic fever have been recorded across the country since the beginning of the year. The ministry stated that it is continuing to track the outbreak. Hemorrhagic fever is a viral disease transmitted through contact and body fluids, characterized by symptoms such as high fever and internal bleeding. Health officials have urged the public to follow hygiene protocols and visit health facilities if they exhibit suspicious symptoms. The ministry reported that necessary measures are being implemented to reduce case numbers and that health centers remain on alert. Authorities stated they are coordinating with veterinary and environmental health units to prevent the further spread of the disease.
