Iraq Recognized as Top Hajj Delegation by Saudi Ministry for Fourth Consecutive Year

The Iraqi High Commission for Hajj and Umrah has received the Labbeyk Award from the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, marking the fourth consecutive year Iraq has been recognized as the top Islamic Hajj delegation. Iraqi officials attributed the honor to the seamless coordination of pilgrimage rituals and the high quality of services provided to Iraqi pilgrims throughout the season. Saudi and Iraqi authorities confirmed that a total of 1,707,301 pilgrims successfully completed their Hajj rituals during this year’s pilgrimage season. Despite the overall success of the mission, officials reported the death of an elderly female pilgrim from Diyala province while in the holy sites. The award underscores the ongoing administrative cooperation between Baghdad and Riyadh in managing the logistical complexities of the annual Hajj pilgrimage.
