BAGHDAD, Iraq โ Iraq's Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces appointed Dr. Jamal Tahir Muhsin al-Asadi as legal advisor to the Ministry of Interior through a divani order issued on Sunday. The appointment was made at a special senior staff grade, according to a source familiar with the matter.
The source said the decision was intended to strengthen the Interior Ministry's legal and advisory capacity. It was also framed as part of efforts to draw on national expertise to improve the ministry's institutional functioning.
