BAGHDAD, Iraq โ The Iraqi Ministry of Education has launched an urgent investigation into the circulation of examination papers at Baghdad International Airport on Thursday, June 11.
Ministry Spokesperson Karim el-Sayyid stated that the ministry is coordinating with relevant security units to track the incident. El-Sayyid expressed appreciation for the security forces' efforts in intercepting the papers, noting that the response reflects a commitment to maintaining the integrity of the examination process.
Education Minister Abdulkarim Abtan convened an emergency meeting to review the details of the incident and ordered a formal investigation. Abtan reported that he is directly supervising the security of the examination process across all cities through field inspections.
The ministry stated that general examinations continue under strict security and technical measures. It added that any identified irregularities will be handled transparently to protect student rights.
