Iraq Education Ministry Denies Claims of Sixth-Grade Exam Delay

Iraq’s Education Ministry has denied social media claims that sixth-grade preparatory exams have been postponed to 20 June, saying the reports are false. The ministry said the circulating posts and other unofficial notices do not reflect any decision on the exam schedule. It urged students and parents not to rely on information from unofficial sources, adding that any future updates would be issued only through the ministry’s official websites and approved platforms. The ministry said the exam timetable will continue to be implemented according to the set schedule. Sixth-grade exams are regarded as one of the most critical stages in Iraq’s education system because they directly affect university admission and students’ academic futures. As a result, false claims about exam dates frequently spread online.
