Iraq Court of Cassation Chairs International Terrorism Dialogue in The Hague

BAGHDAD, Iraq — The Iraq Court of Cassation announced that the National Judicial Coordination Center chaired an international dialogue on terrorism held in The Hague on June 4, 2026. The program was organized by the International Institute for Justice and the Rule of Law, with support from the United Kingdom's Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. Judge Ali Hussein Jawdat, head of the National Judicial Coordination Center, led the discussions on behalf of the Court of Cassation. Criminal justice experts from European Union member states, the United States, Canada, and Australia attended the dialogue. Representatives from Eurojust, Europol, and Interpol also participated in the talks. Participants emphasized that strengthening mechanisms for sharing evidence and intelligence between Iraq and its international partners would contribute to the fight against terrorism.
