BAGHDAD, Iraq โ Iraq's General Directorate for Narcotics Affairs said on Friday that two foreign nationals were detained in two separate operations in Babylon province, with 2 kilograms and 200 grams of crystal methamphetamine seized. According to the directorate's statement, the Babylon Narcotics Affairs Directorate tracked the suspects' movements following intelligence surveillance before making the arrests. The suspects were referred to the judiciary after legal proceedings were opened against them.
In a separate statement, security units on the eastern side of Baghdad announced that personnel from the Rashidiyah Crime Combat Division and the Sheikh Said police station, supported by local forces, had detained individuals of different nationalities. The statement said the detainees had violated residency conditions and were taken into custody as part of an investigation, with the required legal measures applied to them after their arrest.
