TEHRAN, Iran โ Iran's Foreign Ministry said Friday that a meeting planned for Switzerland that day has been postponed to a later date. The ministry said the in-person gathering in Switzerland was no longer urgent because the deal text had already been signed electronically.
The ministry said a new round of talks is being arranged in the coming days, with consultations continuing through mediators to move to the next stage and reach a final agreement. It added that negotiations toward a final deal remain tied to the implementation of articles 1, 4, 5, 10 and 11 of the memorandum of understanding.
The ministry also reiterated that media reports claiming the Strait of Hormuz had been closed do not reflect reality. No further details on the rescheduled meeting or the next phase of talks were immediately available.
