TEHRAN — Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir’s visit to Tehran does not mean talks with the United States have reached a critical stage.
Baghaei said the Strait of Hormuz and what Washington describes as a naval blockade should also be on the negotiating table.
He added that Iran is not planning at this stage to discuss the details of the nuclear file, and that the priority is to end fighting on all fronts, especially the war in Lebanon.
Asim Munir arrived in Tehran as part of a delegation taking on a mediation role in talks between Tehran and Washington.
