TEHRAN, Iran โ€” Iran's Office of the Leader said on Tuesday that social media claims that President Masoud Pezeshkian had resigned and that the Supreme Leader had taken a position on any such resignation did not reflect reality. In a written statement, the office said messages, news and material attributed to the Supreme Leader may only be released through the official platforms of the Office of the Leader and the unit responsible for preserving and publishing his written works. It warned that information circulating about the Leader from unofficial sources should not be given credence. The statement said recent social media posts had created confusion and division in society, adding that the Leader's recent guidance had focused on preserving national unity, supporting those in positions of responsibility and serving the system. The Office of the Leader reiterated its call for the public to disregard any content not issued through official channels.
