Iran accuses NATO of complicity in attacks alongside US and Israel

TEHRAN, Iran — Iran's Foreign Ministry has accused NATO of cooperating with the United States and Israel in recent attacks on Iranian territory, saying statements by the alliance's secretary general on coordination with the two countries constitute a violation of international law. Ministry spokesman Ismail Bakaei said NATO members, including Italy and Romania, must bear responsibility for deciding to join the conflict, and called on those two countries to explain the decision to their own publics and to the international community. Separately, US President Donald Trump said the "historic agreement" signed last week with Iran had fully reopened the Strait of Hormuz and ensured Iran "will never have a nuclear weapon." Trump added that the deal had lifted US stock markets and contributed to a decline in oil prices. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy said safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz would be possible only along routes designated by Iran and with prior coordination, warning that vessels failing to comply with the rules would face action.
