The International Atomic Energy Agency has warned member states that Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile poses a nuclear proliferation risk, according to a report based on a confidential document. Bloomberg reported that the agency said the material includes uranium enriched close to weapons-grade levels. The document said weekly inspections of the material could no longer be carried out after airstrikes in June 2025. The agency’s 119-page report said no definite conclusion could be reached about the unmonitored nuclear material, calling the situation a serious concern. The report said inspectors have not yet returned to the facilities at Fordow, Isfahan and Natanz. It also included the last known stockpile amounts at those sites. The report said that even if the ceasefire is extended, the path to a lasting nuclear deal remains long and fragile. Rafael Grossi said any agreement with unverifiable elements would lead to a bad outcome.
