BAGHDAD, Iraq โ Iraq Doctors Union President Hasnin Safa on Wednesday called on all doctors to close their private clinics on Thursday for one day, saying the countryโs medical graduates are facing what he described as one of the most difficult professional periods in 90 years.
In a Facebook post, Safa urged private clinic owners not to receive patients and to keep their offices closed for a single day. He said the appeal was intended to show solidarity with graduates and to remind authorities and colleagues of the crisis they are facing.
Safa said the call was aimed at drawing attention to employment problems affecting graduates in the health sector. The statement was issued through his personal social media account.
