Hezbollah accuses Israel of continuing ceasefire violations in southern Lebanon

BEIRUT, Lebanon — Hezbollah said on Tuesday that Israel has continued to violate the ceasefire agreement reached in November 2024, accusing the Israeli military of repeated breaches through air and ground operations in southern Lebanon. In a statement, the group said it would continue to resist Israeli violations and that its forces on the ground were prepared to respond immediately to any incursions. A spokesperson said the organization's fighters were ready to confront what it described as occupation forces operating in breach of the truce. Hezbollah urged the United Nations and the countries that mediated the agreement to take a clear stance against the reported violations and to ensure the deal is implemented in line with the obligations of all parties. Tensions have risen along the border area, though both sides have so far avoided a return to direct large-scale hostilities, according to local reports.
