BAGHDAD, Iraq โ Four people were killed and several others wounded in three separate incidents across Iraq, in Sulaymaniyah, Diwaniyah and Babylon provinces.
In the Kifri district south of Sulaymaniyah, a young man died and another person was injured when a motorcycle collided with a vehicle. The victim's body was transferred to the forensic department for legal procedures.
In Diwaniyah, a 24-year-old woman died after setting herself on fire with a petroleum-based substance on a street in the western part of the city. Authorities said the incident was linked to psychological pressure, and the provincial police command said the body was sent to the forensic department and an investigation had been opened.
In Hilla, the capital of Babylon province, a fire broke out in a bicycle repair shop in the Iskan district, killing three people from severe burns and injuring six others from burns and smoke inhalation. The injured were taken to the emergency department for treatment, and the Civil Defense Directorate announced an investigation to determine the cause of the fire and review safety measures.
