Finance Ministry asks Health for list on contract doctors' salaries

BAGHDAD, Iraq — Iraq’s Finance Ministry has sent a letter to the Health Ministry requesting a list of contract doctors who graduated in 2023 and 2024 for salary payments, according to an official document. The ministry asked for each doctor’s full three-part name, job grade, job title and the administrative order showing the date they started work. The document also showed that the monthly salary for these doctors is listed as 400,000 dinars. The request was sent for use in salary payment procedures. The document said the aim is to collect the financial and administrative information needed for the employment of newly graduated doctors on contract. It also said the data requested by the Finance Ministry will form the basis for completing the payment process, with financial and personnel records for contract doctors to be gathered in a single file.
