MANILA, Philippines โ Filipino pop singer Vanessa Blanca died at 30 after falling in the bathroom of her Manila apartment, the Manila Bulletin reported. She slipped while getting dressed and struck her head on the floor, suffering severe brain damage and internal bleeding, according to the report.
Family members said Blanca was taken to a hospital but could not be saved despite intensive medical treatment. Her cousin, Ivy Ann Salaum Jubileg, said in a Facebook post that emergency responders took about 15 minutes to reach the apartment, after which family members wheeled Blanca out in a wheelchair and transported her to the hospital on their own.
Blanca began her career as a child on the talent show "Popstar Kids" and later joined the GMA Network group Sugarpop. After leaving the group, she pursued a solo career and became known for songs including "Dota o Ako." Following news of her death, fans shared her songs and memories on social media and posted condolence messages for her family.
