DUBAI, United Arab Emirates โ€” Dubai has opened a permanent women-only beach in the Al Mamzar area, designed to provide visitors with a private and secure environment away from public view. The site is enclosed by fencing and private gates to limit visibility from outside, and photography and video recording are strictly prohibited so women can enjoy the sea and sand without concern over images circulating on social media. All staff at the beach, including lifeguards, security personnel and other workers, are women, according to the announcement. The new facility differs from earlier arrangements in Dubai, where certain days at some beaches were designated for women; the Mamzar beach is set to operate continuously as a women-only zone. The site also features night swimming areas, dedicated lighting and security equipment, allowing visitors to use the beach during evening hours in the hot summer months. It is part of a wider Mamzar development project that includes sports and recreational facilities. Dubai already has other women-only spaces, but officials say the new beach represents a more comprehensive model built around privacy and safety.
