Buying and selling rates at Baghdad's licensed exchange offices posted a limited rise compared with the previous close, while financial centers in Erbil recorded a similar move during the same session. The first trading day of the week saw 100 dollars clear at a higher dinar level than the previous day. Market sources attributed the move to short-term shifts in supply and demand at the opening session. Officials noted that exchange rates can fluctuate through the day in line with supply and demand. The simultaneous uptick in both the Baghdad and Erbil markets marked the opening of weekly trading.
