Dicle Sports Club wins Iraqi Badminton Cup doubles titles in Baghdad

BAGHDAD, Iraq โ Dicle Sports Club claimed the men's, women's and mixed doubles titles at the Iraqi Badminton Cup, held from June 30 to July 2 at Dicle University College hall in Baghdad. In men's doubles, Dicle finished first, followed by Akad Ainkawa in second and Asuri Club in third. Dicle also took the women's doubles title, with Akad Ainkawa placing second.
In mixed doubles, Dicle swept the podium, finishing first, second and third. The tournament was organized by the Iraqi Badminton Federation and drew wide participation from clubs and sports institutions across the country.
All matches were contested in doubles categories and were open to athletes aged 17 and over. Iraq national badminton team coach Salah Mahdi said clubs were permitted to field one or two teams in the doubles events. No further details on the competition were immediately available.
