Barzani, Turkish Ambassador Discuss Security, Bilateral Ties in Erbil

ERBIL, Iraq — Kurdish Regional Government President Nechirvan Barzani met with Turkey's Ambassador to Iraq Anıl Bora İnan in Erbil on Monday to discuss bilateral relations and regional security. The meeting addressed Turkey's relations with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, the political situation in Iraq, and economic and trade cooperation between the two sides. Both parties emphasized the importance of continued coordination to maintain security and stability. They also reviewed political developments in the Kurdistan Region and agreed on the need for dialogue and consensus to resolve outstanding issues between Erbil and Baghdad. Regional developments and Turkey's peace process were also discussed. Both sides affirmed their commitment to resolving disputes through peaceful means.
