Barzani meets Italian ambassador to discuss Baghdad-Erbil ties

ERBIL, Iraq — Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani met with Italian Ambassador Nicolò Fontana to discuss relations between Baghdad and Erbil. The two also reviewed political developments in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region during the meeting. Barzani praised Italy’s support for Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, while the Italian ambassador stressed the importance of relations between the two sides.
