Iraq’s planned 2026 security and defence fair in Baghdad has been postponed to 17 April 2027, with organisers saying continuing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East are affecting logistics and international travel. The delay is also expected to reduce the number of participants at the event.
The organising committee said technical, organisational and preparatory work will continue without interruption until the 2027 date to ensure the fair is held in full and effectively. The event is intended to bring together major international companies operating in security, military industries and advanced technology.
