BAGHDAD, Iraq — Police in Baghdad arrested members of a group called “Suade and Lelbube” after tracking them over alleged motorcycle theft and armed robbery, officials said. A clash broke out between the suspects and security forces during the operation.
Police said they seized a Kalashnikov rifle, a pistol and narcotics after the confrontation. Legal procedures were launched against the detained suspects.
In Muthanna province’s Rumaythah district, a fight between intoxicated people escalated into a knife attack and killed a young man. Three people were detained in connection with the incident, and the body was transferred to forensic medicine.
