Baghdad police arrest pickpocket known as 'Three Thieves' in Karkh district

BAGHDAD, Iraq — Police in Baghdad's Karkh district have arrested a pickpocket known by the alias "Three Thieves," described as one of the capital's most dangerous street thieves with multiple prior convictions. The Karkh Police Command said Baya Anti-Outlaw Section units apprehended the suspect after surveillance carried out under the directive of the Karkh Police Commander. According to the command, the suspect had been tracked through intelligence and technical monitoring before being caught in an ambush without incident. The statement said he was linked to numerous theft cases in the capital. The command added that the required legal proceedings have been initiated against the suspect and that he will be referred to the judiciary.
