Baghdad drug suspect caught after drone-assisted nighttime raid

BAGHDAD, Iraq — The National Security Service in Baghdad arrested a drug suspect during a nighttime raid in the city’s Harbiyya area, using drones equipped with thermal cameras to track him as he tried to flee across nearby rooftops. Security forces carried out the operation under a lawful arrest warrant in eastern Baghdad. The suspect attempted to move between the roofs of adjacent houses to escape and avoid detection. The drones pinpointed his location, allowing security teams to surround him and arrest him immediately. The seized drugs were confiscated, and the suspect was handed over to the relevant judicial authorities to complete legal proceedings.
