BAGHDAD, Iraq โ€” Hadi al-Amiri, head of the Badr Organization, has called on Hashd al-Shaabi forces to delay a military response to attacks targeting the paramilitary group's headquarters, urging the factions to show restraint and maintain composure. In a statement addressed to leaders and members of Iraq's "Islamic Resistance," al-Amiri said the matter would be pursued through diplomatic channels. He pledged that the rights of those killed and wounded would be pursued through political and legal avenues. The State Administration Coalition, meanwhile, said any formation acting outside state institutions and threatening national security would be considered unlawful. The coalition said it opposed the use of weapons outside official decision-making mechanisms. The call for restraint follows threats of retaliation by armed factions, which accused Saudi Arabia of being behind the attacks and demanded an apology and compensation before freezing their response. No further details on the diplomatic process or the factions' next steps were immediately available.
