Apple ends official support for iPhone X, adds it to vintage list

Apple has added the iPhone X to its vintage products list alongside a 2018 15-inch MacBook Pro, ending official support for both devices. The move means authorized service providers will no longer be able to order replacement parts for the two products through Apple. The iPhone X was first introduced in 2017 and became known for introducing Face ID facial recognition and the screen notch design. The device did not receive the iOS 17 update and remained on iOS 16.7.16 as its final supported software version. Apple typically designates a product as vintage around seven years after its discontinuation. The company has previously stated that some products may continue to receive service for up to ten years, depending on parts availability.
