Ainkawa, Sinharib and Sabis win on day three of Iraqi Women's Basketball League

BAGHDAD, Iraq — Three matches were played on the third day of the 2025-2026 Iraqi Women's Basketball League season at the Northern Technical University gym in Mosul, with Akaid Ainkawa, Sinharib and Sabis each recording a victory. Akaid Ainkawa defeated Kirkuk representative al-Sevra 72-44 in the opening game. Sinharib then routed er-Rafidin 46-4, while Sabis closed the day with a 117-29 win over Shahriban. The 11-team tournament includes al-Salih, Aphrodite, Shahriban, Sabis, Peshmerga, al-Sevra, Akaid Ainkawa, Karaqush, er-Rafidin, Sinharib and Darbandikhan. Kirkuk club Gaz al-Shimal withdrew from the competition for financial reasons, reducing the field from the originally announced number.
