Yemen army says it carried out 81 operations against Houthis in 24 hours

Yemen's armed forces spokesman, Colonel Majdullah al-Nuzail, said the army conducted 81 military operations against Houthi positions and targets over the past 24 hours. The operations were carried out across multiple front lines and directions, he added. Al-Nuzail said the strikes targeted Houthi fighters, sources of fire, vehicles and military equipment, resulting in what he described as military and material losses for the group. Equipment and logistics vehicles were also destroyed, according to the spokesman. The spokesman framed the operations as a response to Houthi attacks on commercial ships and civilian facilities. He listed targets including the Al-Maha port near the Bab al-Mandab Strait and populated areas and displacement camps in Marib. Al-Nuzail said the operations would continue in line with the instructions of Yemen's political and military leadership and that coordinated responses would be carried out against Houthi attacks across all fronts.
