SALADIN, Iraq — A vehicle caught fire Thursday at a gas station north of Salgın after waiting in a long queue caused by the country's ongoing fuel crisis. Civil Defense teams responded immediately, preventing the flames from spreading to other parts of the station or nearby vehicles. The fire was brought under control quickly, and no casualties were reported. Damage was limited to the vehicle itself.
Security authorities launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire and establish the full circumstances of the incident.
The General Traffic Directorate issued a warning to drivers and the public, urging them to follow traffic regulations while refueling, use designated entry and exit routes, and cooperate with traffic personnel.
