WASHINGTON, United States — WASHINGTON — U.S. Vice President JD Vance said Gulf states would channel large-scale investment into Iran if Tehran complies with agreements reached with Washington, in remarks to Fox News. Vance said any gains for Iran would come not from American money but from the willingness of countries such as Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia to invest in Iran and build power plants. He added that Iran could gain access to a reconstruction fund worth up to $300 billion. The vice president stressed that "not a single cent" of U.S. taxpayer money would go to Iran. According to the report, a memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States was completed on the night of June 15, with the document expected to be signed in Switzerland on June 19. Iranian officials have said the understanding calls for an end to military activity on all fronts, including Lebanon.
