US Treasury sanctions 9 firms and 4 individuals tied to Iranian businessman Zanjani

WASHINGTON, United States — WASHINGTON — The U.S. Treasury Department announced new sanctions against nine companies and four individuals linked to sanctioned Iranian businessman Babak Zanjani, targeting what officials described as his "Dot One" network operating inside Iran. According to the department, the companies are based in Turkey and the United Arab Emirates and had provided support to digital asset exchanges previously tied to Zanjani. The Treasury said senior executives of those companies were also placed under sanctions. The new measures are intended to obstruct Zanjani's efforts to circumvent U.S. sanctions, the department said. Treasury officials added that financial transactions conducted through digital asset platforms would continue to be monitored.
