TEHRAN, Iran โ U.S. Central Command said it completed its latest wave of air strikes against Iran on Wednesday, aimed at further degrading Tehran's capacity to target commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. CENTCOM said via X that the 90-minute wave used precision-guided munitions to hit coastal defense systems, cruise missile storage sites and launch facilities on Greater Tunb Island.
The command had earlier announced on Wednesday that it had launched a new wave of strikes against Iran at 6 a.m. Eastern Time. It said the operations were intended to continue weakening the military capacity Iranian forces use against commercial vessels in the strait.
U.S. President Donald Trump told Fox News on Tuesday that, if Tehran does not sign a deal, the United States will broaden its strikes on Iran next week to include power plants and bridges. According to AFP, Trump said next week would be very bad for Iran and that power plants and bridges would be targeted.
