ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates โ The UAE's National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority said a technical fault in its early warning system caused false missile threat notifications to be sent to the public. The authority said expert teams immediately launched intervention procedures once the malfunction was identified.
Officials said service continuity was maintained under approved plans and any potential impact on users was minimized. The authority apologized for the unwanted technical fault and thanked community members for following the guidance issued.
The authority urged residents to continue following instructions issued through official channels and to obtain information only from approved sources. It said technical reviews of the system are underway to prevent the incident from recurring.
