BAGHDAD, Iraq โ Two young men were killed in separate incidents in southern Iraq, security sources said. In the eastern part of Nasiriyah, the capital of Dhi Qar province, a dispute between relatives from the same family escalated into a knife fight, leaving one young man dead. The perpetrators fled to an unknown location, and security forces were dispatched to secure the area while the body was transferred to a forensic medical institution.
In a separate incident in the district of Al-Mujarr al-Kabir in Maysan province, a young man was fatally shot in an attack by an armed group. According to sources, the victim had been exchanging messages with a girl, and the attackers lured him into a trap before opening fire.
Investigations have been launched in both cases to locate the perpetrators. Security forces said operations in Nasiriyah and Al-Mujarr al-Kabir were ongoing.
