Two IRGC members killed in armed attack in western Iran

In a separate incident in the same hours, gunmen attacked a checkpoint in the city of Bane in Kurdistan province in northwestern Iran, killing two police officers and wounding three people, including a three-year-old child, according to the same reports. The attacks come as Tehran has increased security operations along its western border regions.
