KIRKUK, Iraq โ Security sources said two people were injured in two separate altercations in Kirkuk on Friday. In the first incident, a man opened fire on his 20-year-old nephew during a dispute in the Barudhane area of the city center, wounding the younger man. The injured person was taken to hospital for treatment.
Security forces went to the scene and opened an investigation, with the sources saying legal procedures would be initiated against those responsible. The second incident took place in the Binca Ali area, where a 19-year-old was stabbed by a group of people and sustained injuries of varying degrees. The victim was taken to hospital.
The sources said the relevant authorities are continuing their investigation to identify and apprehend those responsible for the stabbings.
