Trabzonspor submits formal offer to sign Mohamed Salah on two-year deal

ISTANBUL, Türkiye — Turkish Süper Lig club Trabzonspor has made a formal offer to sign Mohamed Salah, with the proposal covering a two-year contract through 2028 and annual wages of €17 million, according to Turkish media reports. Journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu said the club met with Salah's representatives and presented the formal offer. Sabuncuoğlu reported that the player's agent shared the details with Salah, who responded positively and indicated he would consult his family before making a final decision. French journalist Santi Aouna separately reported that Trabzonspor held advanced talks with Salah's agent and was close to an agreement. The developments come as Istanbul rival Beşiktaş suspended its negotiations with Salah indefinitely. Beşiktaş had earlier reached a verbal agreement with the player on a one-year renewable contract worth a net €10 million per season plus €2 million in bonuses. Salah completed a nine-year spell with Liverpool when his deal with the club expired at the end of the 2025-2026 season. The Turkish reports do not include a statement from Salah or his representatives confirming a decision on the Trabzonspor offer.
