DAMASCUS, Syria — Syria's national oil company said an early morning explosion on an export pipeline at the Jebsa gas facility was,初步 deyimi sonradan çıkarıldı.
Syria's Petroleum Company said the explosion occurred at around 4 a.m. on Tuesday at the Jebsa gas facility's export line. According to initial examinations, the blast was the result of "deliberate sabotage," the company said in a statement.
Following the incident, the company said wells were isolated, safety valves were closed and on-site personnel were evacuated safely. Gas flow halted, affecting some electricity generation turbines, the company added.
Repair teams are continuing their work, with the company stating that crews are working around the clock to bring the line back into service within 24 hours. The company said an investigation into the incident will be carried out with the relevant authorities, and coordination with Syria's Electricity Company is underway to compensate for the disruption using alternative sources.
The company also announced that additional measures will be taken to protect oil and gas facilities and transmission lines.
