SULAYMANIYAH, Iraq โ A photography exhibition documenting the life of a man known as "Kaka Hama" opened on a historic street in the city's Kasablar neighborhood, featuring 100 images captured over 12 years by photographer Fayik Hama Salih.
Salih said he followed "Kaka Hama" in his daily life for more than a decade, photographing him sheltering in dilapidated houses, walking through the snow, chasing stray dogs, eating and sleeping in the narrow streets of the area. He described the project as an effort to present a complete visual story that goes beyond a traditional perspective.
The exhibition is being held on the same street where "Kaka Hama" lived for many years and is scheduled to remain open to visitors for three days, according to the organizers.
Salih said he devoted 12 years entirely to the project, adding that he believes the story of "Kaka Hama" represents not just the account of a single individual but a human testimony that deserves to be remembered.
