Spain's national team uses Adidas cooling system at US training camp

CHATTANOOGA, United States — Spain's national football team has adopted Adidas' Climacool cooling system during its training camp in Chattanooga to cope with high temperatures ahead of two matches in Atlanta. The system consists of three components: a cooling vest, an insulation vest and cooled shoe covers. The cooling vest lowers players' body temperature during training and matches, while the insulation vest helps preserve the cooling effect for longer periods. The shoe covers are worn directly over the cleats and contain a cooling gel that reduces foot temperature by roughly two degrees within seven minutes, according to the product description. La Roja, Spain's national team, is set to play its first two matches at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Temperatures during the training sessions prompted the squad to use the new equipment.
