Russia says it struck Izmail Port targets near Odessa

MOSCOW — Russia's Defense Ministry said on Wednesday that it carried out strikes on targets at the Izmail port in the Odessa region, including a cargo vessel transporting military supplies to Ukraine. The ministry said fuel storage facilities and infrastructure used for unloading military shipments at the port were also hit. Russia has intensified attacks on Ukrainian ports in recent weeks, according to the ministry's statement. Moscow said the strikes are aimed at preventing Western weapons from reaching Ukraine via sea routes and disrupting military and economic supply lines to the country.
