Russia says air defenses downed 112 Ukrainian drones in 12 hours

MOSCOW โ Russia's Defense Ministry said its air defenses intercepted 112 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory between 08:00 and 20:00 Moscow time. The ministry said the drones were engaged across Belgorod, Bryansk, Vladimir, Kaluga, Kursk, Lipetsk, Leningrad, Ryazan, Tula and Moscow oblasts, as well as Krasnodar Krai, the Republic of Crimea and over the waters of the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea.
The figures were released as part of the ministry's regular reporting on overnight air defense activity, with the 12-hour tally covering all regions where drones were intercepted. It did not provide details on damage or casualties from any drones that may have reached their targets.
The ministry said air defense operations were continuing without interruption. No further details were immediately available.
