Prime Minister Zeydi Backs Integration of Saraya al-Salam into State Command

Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ali Zeydi has welcomed the decision by Muqtada al-Sadr, leader of the National Bloc, to integrate the Saraya al-Salam forces into the state security apparatus. Zeydi stated that the move represents a significant milestone in consolidating arms under state control and strengthening national internal stability. The Prime Minister called upon other armed groups to follow this precedent by operating within official state frameworks and surrendering their weapons to government institutions. However, some groups, including Kataib Hezbollah, have opposed these disarmament efforts, arguing that such initiatives specifically target 'uncontrolled weapons'.
